The course is designed for healthcare responders who manage critical pediatric cases in emergency rooms and intensive care units. Consisting of case scenarios and concluding with a multiple-choice final exam, the PALS course has several key objectives, including the reliable evaluation of pediatric cardiac ECG rhythms, correct performance of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and identification of different types of shock and respiratory emergencies. Furthermore, participants learn important team dynamics strategies to optimize patient management.

The duration of the PALS course is around 14 hours. Upon successfully passing the exam, participants receive a course completion card to verify their PALS certification. The certification is valid for two years.
